Max attended law school at the University of Victoria where he worked as a research assistant for a senior professor and sat on the board of editors of the law review journal. During law school, Max was also a student representative on the board of directors for the Environmental Law Centre non-profit legal clinic. Furthermore, Max spent a semester at the university’s low-income legal clinic, appearing in BC Provincial Court on both criminal and civil matters, as well as a BC Human Rights Tribunal mediation.

Max completed the first half of his articling term at a leading criminal defense firm in Vancouver. He appeared in BC Provincial Court daily, representing clients in various sorts of hearings including bail and sentencing. Max is excited to keep learning about the law. He is now gaining experience in civil, family, and various solicitor’s work while completing his articles at McConnan, Bion, O’Connor, & Peterson.

In his free time, Max loves to play music, ride his bike, and hunt for a good cinnamon bun.
