Colin was born and raised in Victoria and attended the University of Victoria after graduating from St. Michaels University School. He earned his undergraduate degree in History and his law degree from UVic before incorporating his own firm as a sole practitioner.
The week following his call to the Bar, Colin began recruit training at the Justice Institute of British Columbia’s Police Academy as a member of a municipal police department. Over the past 27 years, he has served as a full-time police officer while maintaining his solicitor’s practice during his time off. His legal work focuses on Wills and Estates, Real Estate, Family Law, and Corporate Law for closely held companies. Colin also teaches a range of legal courses to police officers across Canada.
Colin practices under his own law corporation, Vindex Law Corporation, which is affiliated with McBOP.

Outside of work, Colin enjoys playing squash with his wife, Cindy, and supporting their two children, who both compete in squash.
