Biography

Raised in Ontario, Deena attended the University of Guelph where she received her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice & Public Policy; and Political Science. She then travelled to the United Kingdom to attain her law degree from the University of Essex.

After graduating, Deena relocated to Victoria and ventured into the public policy field. She gained extensive policy experience working with the Liquor & Cannabis Regulation Branch and the Indigenous Justice Secretariat.

Deena joined McConnan Bion O’Connor and Peterson as an articled student in May 2024. She is looking forward to building both her solicitor and barrister practice. Her primary legal interests are in business law, administrative law and civil litigation. She is looking forward to building a strong network and serving her community.

When not in the office, Deena enjoys spending time with family and friends. Deena also enjoys travelling, having travelled to 15 countries and counting. Deena is currently on the board of directors for the Victoria Youth Empowerment Society.
