Lisa graduated from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law in 2006.  Following graduation, Lisa completed her articles with McConnan Bion O’Connor & Peterson and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2007.

Lisa practices primarily in the area of family law and is a fully accredited family law mediator.  Lisa is a solutions-focused lawyer and strives to assist clients to reach fair and practical settlements, only resorting to litigation when absolutely necessary.  When initially called to the Bar, Lisa practiced for several years as a solicitor at McConnan Bion O’Connor & Peterson where she obtained significant experience in the areas of wills/estates, real estate law and small business law.  This experience allows Lisa to advise family law clients holistically, drawing upon her skills and knowledge in other crucial matters that many families confront upon the breakdown of a marriage or marriage-like relationship.

While Lisa views litigation in family law matters as a last resort, Lisa is an experienced litigator having appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia, as well as various boards and administrative tribunals.

In addition to family law, Lisa has significant experience in loan security enforcement matters and has represented various financial institutions in the Supreme Court of British Columbia in this regard.

Lisa is a past executive member of the BC CBA Wills and Trusts Subsection for Victoria, as well as a current member of the BC CBA Family Law, Wills and Trusts and Civil Litigation Subsections.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys swimming, surfing and downhill skiing. Lisa is an active member of the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve, currently serving as the Administration Officer for 263 RCSCC BEACON HILL, a local sea cadet unit.
