Maria was born and raised in Victoria and has strong connections to the island.
Prior to law school, Maria received a Bachelor of Arts in History, with a focus on modern Russian history. She also worked as a commercial painter and built wooden boats.
Maria received her law degree from the University of Victoria in 2019. While attending law school she volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, which included a placement with the Yukon Human Rights Commission.
Maria joined McConnan Bion O’Connor and Peterson as a summer law student in 2018 and is excited to be returning for articles. She looks forward to representing clients and assisting on files in a diverse range of practice areas.
When she is not in the office, Maria likes to go to the gym, enjoy brunch, spend time outdoors with her dog, and paint in the style of Bob Ross.
